Hey @Barnacules I am watching this series for the first time. I went to the Visual Studio download and got 2 choices. VS 2017 and VS code. I wanted to get your opinion to see which version i should get to setup my development environment?
The Spacebar Gamer (13 days ago)

Nice tutorial, one thing tho you are talking rather fast, at least to me that makes you sound stressed out, slow your speking down a bit and this tutorial will be perfect

can you use notepad++
Just Enough Codes (2 months ago)
You will need Visual Studio, as it comes with a Compiler as shown in the tutorial. Notepad++ can still be used to modify your sources, but it will be unhandy and a unprofessional aproach if you want to be an actual programmer.

Console.WriteLine("Stay Puff"); Hello! I've just found this video and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time ..(4 years ago) to do this. I've recently taking an intern "understudy" job in coding and I'm really getting into it. You have explained things so clearly in this first episode that I feel that everything I am learning on the job is actually starting to make sense! I'm going to keep watching this series and hopefully, one day, I shall be an almighty developer/programmer too :D thank you :)

I hope you still look at comments on these old videos. I just wanted to tell you that i have always found programming exciting, but never did anything with it until i saw your videos and followed them. Now i am finishing my degree in Software Engineering , and work with C# every day, thanks to you. So again, THANK YOU @Barnacules for helping me find my passion in software development.

"Stay Puft" Thanks for this video. My colleagues have advised me to learn C# so, I'm now starting to learn it. Actually, I have been interested in learning the language but had difficulty finding time to do it. So, no more putting this off and just start coding with it. :)

Code your exercise routine, then run program in debug!
Tjejify (6 months ago)
1 thing he doesnt meantion is that C# is VERY cap sensitive, for example, if u type Console, it will work, but console wont
Tjejify (6 months ago)
So, in the event of typing Console.WriteLine("Did You Type (0)", keyinfo.KeyChar.ToString());, it said, if i pressed 5, Did You Type (0)5, but i want it to say, Did You Type 5, can you explain if there is smn i did wrong, however, anyone with this problem, go ahead and use this line of code, Console.WriteLine("Did You Type " + keyinfo.KeyChar.ToString()); //Hope i helped you out:D EDIT: Correct Code Is onsole.WriteLine("Did You Type{0}", keyinfo.KeyChar.ToString());
Insomnias (3 months ago)
I know this is old but if you haven't figured it out you need {0} instead of (0)... Console.WriteLine("Did You Type {0}", keyinfo.KeyChar.ToString());

I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. When I run my code and use the PrintFoo100x function I created, it only prints foo 1 time. here is what I have. is my loop messed up? static void PrintFoo() { Console.WriteLine("Foo"); } static void PrintFoo100x() { for(int counter=0; counter <= 99; counter++); { PrintFoo(); }

Sorry to reply so late. I just found this series and I really like the way you simplify things to make it easy to understand for a layperson, yet you still interject the technical terms and jargon appropriately so that the end user (viewer) starts to pick up on it right away. I look forward to watching this whole series, and Thanks!
